The York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) has released its 2026-27 budget, which focuses on putting students first and starting the process of returning the board to financial stability.
This budget takes a measured approach to addressing the YCDSB’s deficit. There are several small operational adjustments that respond to declining enrolment and the current needs in our classrooms.

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Academy community thanks Ms. Teresa LaMarche for volunteering as our Catholic School Council Chair for the 2024-2025 school year.
Our first Catholic School Council Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 26th at 7:00 pm in the school library.
On March 21, 2024 the York Catholic District School Board celebrated the third annual board-wide Lenten Mass of Renewal and Reconciliation. Livestreamed to the board’s 50,000 students, the Mass featured the talented students of St Edward Catholic Elementary School and St Brother Andre Catholic High School, in Markham, who performed the music and helped with the readings.
